Meet Your Wedding Planner
Lisa Ridgway has been planning weddings and decorating events for more than a decade. It all began when she volunteered to decorate for nonprofit organizations in the Hickory area.
Soon, future brides were asking her to not only decorate, but also plan and direct their weddings. She planned her first wedding in 2010. Since then, she has taken on multiple weddings a year at venues like Rock Barn Country Club, Catawba Country Club, and Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock.
Her favorite part of the process is bringing the bride's vision to life and seeing how happy the couple is when they get to experience the wedding of their dreams. She realizes that the biggest challenge for any bride is getting everything on her wish-list while also sticking to the budget. She believes there is always a way to give the bride what she wants. It's simply a matter of using resources wisely and thinking outside the box to come up with creative solutions.
